Shades of women
Self to selfless' is the theme chosen by young freelance artist Aadhi Vishal from Goa for his art exhibition in Bangalore , because a few art critics termed it so. The many nuances of a woman's moods and personality take pride of place in all his works. "Woman is the supreme force and I have tried to depict a woman in her many roles as mother, sister, daughter and wife through my brush strokes," says Vishal.

He also intersperses a soul study of himself through his medium here.
Comfortable when working with acrylic on canvas and watercolours on paper, Vishal folds in the multifarious facets of femininity in vivid colours. The rich flora and fauna in Goa form the backdrop of most of his artworks . This is why it is not surprising to see images of fish and flamingos emerging in the background in one of his works. "Goa is a colourful state and I wanted to depict the vibrancy of this place. It is emerging from within me. I enjoy using many colours and I use elements of nature to balance the moods," he says.
This is Aadhi Vishal's second solo exhibition and this Goa College of Art alumnus also dabbles in photography. He is currently looking forward to the International Film Festival of India being hosted in Goa in November, where he along with senior artists will bring alive films on canvas.
(Exhibition concludes today at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat)
